The Question

"Can I love someone deeply — and still say no to them?"

Yes. In fact, a "no" that comes from self-respect is one of the most loving things you can offer. When you say yes to everything, your yes loses meaning. When you can say no, your yes becomes a genuine choice.

Love without the ability to say no becomes obligation. And obligation eventually becomes resentment. Relational Sovereignty includes the freedom to decline — with warmth, and without guilt.
