Self-Love vs. Selfishness

There is a very thin line that many people often confuse: Self-Love and Selfishness.

You may have heard someone say:

“You’re so selfish, you only think about yourself.”
Or: “Don’t be selfish, you have to sacrifice for your family, husband, wife, or children.”

And you start wondering: “So is loving myself selfish?”

The short answer: No.

Jennifer, 32 years old, was a daughter who always sacrificed for her family. She rarely said “no” to her parents and siblings. She believed that was how she showed love.
