TYPE C: THE ANXIOUS HEART

“Worried, Fearful, Overthinking”

type c

IF YOU SCORED MOSTLY C's:

You want love—but you’re terrified.

You fall fast. You worry constantly. You overthink everything. You’re afraid they’ll leave. You check your phone obsessively. You analyze every word, every silence, every shift.

You have anxious attachment.

WHY YOU'RE HERE:

You’re in Stage 0 because:

  • Your anxiety pushes people away

  • You cling when you should be calm

  • Your fear of abandonment creates the abandonment

  • You need constant reassurance

  • You can’t be at peace in uncertainty

YOUR GIFT:

You feel deeply. Your capacity to love is immense. When you’re secure, you’re the most devoted, caring, present partner.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

Your anxiety takes over.

You may:

  • Text too much, too soon

  • Need constant validation

  • Panic when they’re quiet or busy

  • Create conflict to test if they’ll stay

  • Sacrifice yourself to keep them

  • Lose yourself trying to keep their attention

WHAT YOU NEED:

💚 Inner security – You can’t get this from a partner; only from yourself
💚 Self-soothing skills – Learn to calm yourself instead of seeking external reassurance
💚 Understanding your triggers – Know what activates your anxiety
💚 Tolerance for uncertainty – Love requires not knowing sometimes
💚 Self-worth – You are enough, even when alone

YOUR STAGE 0 WORK:

📖 Focus on:

  • Exercise 1: Letter to Your Inner Child (heal the abandonment wound)

  • Practice 1: Heart Anchor (daily – this is crucial for you!)

  • Exercise 4: Creating Inner Safety (build self-soothing tools)

Key Practice:
When anxiety rises (someone doesn’t text back, they seem distant, etc.):

DON’T: Reach out immediately, seek reassurance, spiral
DO:

  1. Place hand on heart

  2. Breathe: 4 counts in, 7 hold, 8 out (repeat 5x)

  3. Say: “I am safe. This feeling will pass. I don’t need to act on this anxiety.”

  4. Wait 24 hours before responding

Practice this 100 times. It will change everything.

YOUR PATH TO STAGE 1:

⚠️ Learn to self-regulate FIRST
⚠️ Practice staying calm when someone pulls back slightly
⚠️ Choose secure people (not anxious OR avoidant)
⚠️ Don’t rush into relationships—your anxiety will follow
⚠️ Build your inner calm before seeking external love

Timeline: 6-12 months of active anxiety work

You’ll know you’re ready when:

  • You can wait for a text without panicking

  • You don’t need constant reassurance

  • You can be alone without feeling abandoned

  • You trust that someone’s distance doesn’t mean they’re leaving

AFFIRMATION FOR TYPE C:

“I am learning to calm myself. I don’t need external validation to feel safe. I can tolerate uncertainty. Someone who’s right for me won’t make me constantly anxious. I am worthy of secure love.”
